This album is the outgrowth of time spent in relative creative isolation. Making music mostly alone or in reaction to previously recorded music. It started as a series of tests: recording practices and listening back, digging in notebooks, finding spaces I'd not explored recently, attempting to not fuck up a vibe with too much sauce. I wanted to make something reflective of this window of time, but more something that was from this time to the future, a remembrance-in-waiting. Just to feel anything during this time, I turned to records I loved, stole religiously, stayed up too late, and hemmed and hawed about what I should or shouldn't include. These made the cut, though some just barely.
